The British Berkefeld Stainless Steel Gravity Water Filter Housing with 2 x Ultra Sterasyl Ceramic Water Filter Candles is a reliable and effective water filter for purifying tap water to make it safe and healthy to drink. The filter housing is made of stainless steel and has a capacity of 12 liters. Customers have reported that the filter does leak between the two sections if the top is overfilled. However, if the top is not overfilled, there are no issues with leaking. The dimensions of the filter when fully assembled are around 60 cm, which is larger than the initially stated 41 cm. The filter is suitable for most kitchen taps, but there is no guarantee that the adaptors and divertor valve will fit every tap. It is recommended to remove the thread underneath the end of the tap to improve the chances of compatibility. When using two filters, it is recommended to only fill the top part and let it filter through. The bottom section should not be filled while the top is full, as it may cause seepage. The replacement filters for this water filter are a range of Doulton ceramic filter candles, all of which are compatible with the Doulton HCS Countertop. It is not recommended to use black Berkey purification filters with this particular filter housing.
