The OD of the top is 0.206", tapering down to 0.185" at the bottom. A pilot hole of 5.2mm is recommended for use in PETG-Carbon Fiber 3D plastic parts, with a depth of hole of the insert dimension plus 1 mm. The use of a tap after cooling is also recommended to clear out any debris. A stress test revealed the insert was strong enough to withstand twisting and hammering pressure, with the screw giving out before the insert and nut in the block.
