The Suunto KB-14/360R G Precision Global Compass is a great tool for taking accurate bearings, validating azimuths from a standard Magnetic Navigation and Orienteering compass, and aligning Dish satellite antennas. It is well made and rugged. It is easy to use and incline the sight line according to elevation without the card being stuck. The design of the card bearing/suspension allows the compass to work anywhere in the world. However, it is not useful for detailed map and compass work and does not have the ability to adjust for magnetic declination. The compass is not suitable for far sighted people who wear metal glasses that will change the direction it points towards. It is made in Finland and only comes in silver. The back is not engravable. The compass face/dial does not glow in the dark. It does not say whether it is waterproof or water-resistant.
