**** The Cane Creek Preloader ring has carved out a niche for itself among cycling enthusiasts as a standout alternative to the often flimsy OEM plastic versions. Cyclists have praised the product's high-quality materials and craftsmanship, appreciating the robust, machined alloy from which it is made—significantly outclassing the stock parts most manufacturers use. Installation experiences have been somewhat mixed, with some users noting the need for additional adjustments such as Loctite glue or O-rings to ensure a snug fit. However, most have found the installation process to be relatively straightforward and quick, with a typical time of less than 30 minutes. Complaints regarding necessary instructions seem to be common, with users resorting to trial and error for fitting, particularly when dealing with differences in tolerances. The upgrade has been a game-changer for those who had previously struggled with creaking noises or loosening parts, issues often attributable to the inferior quality of the original plastic. The aesthetic appeal of the alloy preloader has also been welcomed, adding a touch of sophistication to bike setups.
