The Planet Waves Lemon Oil is a wood conditioner and cleaner formulated to remove dirt, grease, and wax buildup from the fretboard and frets. It works great on Rosewood and ebony fretboards. A few drops on a cloth are enough to rub it in and wipe off the excess. Using it every few months will keep the fretboard looking and feeling great. However, it is not recommended for use on Maple fretboards. While it is tempting to use it on the body of the guitar, the manufacturer suggests against it due to the potential for damaging the finish. The actual ingredients of the product are not listed on the bottle but include chemicals such as pinene, camphene, bisabolene, and limonene. According to customer reviews, this product works wonders in cleaning and restoring the fretboard, and a little dab goes a long way. However, some customers wished that it had a built-in applicator.
