Google Bullet Cameras G3AL9; GM493 Editorial Review
The Google GPLE9 Nest Cam with Floodlight Outdoor is a wired security camera that offers smart home integration and WiFi connectivity. However, customer reviews have highlighted several issues with this product. One common complaint is the poor image quality of the camera. Customers have reported that the image is not clear and lacks detail. Another significant flaw is the unreliable operation of the floodlights. Some users have experienced issues with the floodlights turning on unnecessarily, especially during heavy rain. This has led to the need to disable notifications, which defeats the purpose of having a security camera. Additionally, customers have expressed frustration with the limited functionality of the camera. While it can detect people and vehicles, it struggles to differentiate between other objects, such as birds or spiders. Users also mentioned that it does not allow for customization of clips, cutting out useful content. There have also been complaints about the difficulty of changing WiFi settings. Users who switch broadband providers regularly find it cumbersome to reset the camera and connect it to a new WiFi network. Furthermore, there have been reports of software issues, such as overexposed and poor-quality video after a software update. Some customers have also experienced difficulties re-adding the camera to the Google Home App after changing their WiFi. In terms of customer support, reviews indicate that Google's support service has been unhelpful, and the information on their website is confusing and inConsistent. Considering these factors, along with the upcoming discontinuation of the product, it is advisable to avoid purchasing the Google GPLE9 Nest Cam with Floodlight Outdoor.
